I have used lead remover cloth on the bore, forcing cone, chamber throats, and front cylinder face of my blued GP100 for years. Sure, the bluing is mostly gone on the cylinder face, but it is completely free of leading. I shoot a lot of cast bullets, and find that the treated cloth is the easiest way to remove lead residue from those areas.

Just wipe it down with the cleaning fluid of your choice and leave it alone. The marks made on a blued gun are not "on top" of your blued finish, the blueing is actually scorched.

You have to push a release plunger then remove the front latch pivot pin before you can separate the cylinder from the crane.
