Was told today after $771 in service (standard scope, air filter, plugs & oil) that I have a blown left thrust rod bushing. They recommend replace both (assume this means left and right side as opposed to front and back of same rod) for $675.

Should be the bushings that are pressed into the "tension strut" . Most people have the tension strut replaced as opposed to just the bushings since the new arm also has a new ball joint. No matter, these are all the same thing. There is, what appears to be, a hard rubber bushing pressed into the arm. But, that hard rubber bushing is actually filled with hydraulic
